Every Kitten is unique! We base pickup date on individual readiness. Generally speaking your Kitten should be ready to join you by the time he/she is 10 Weeks old
We recommend feeding a quality, high protein diet with no grains or fillers. Dehydrated or frozen raw diets are ideal. Canned food is preferrable to dry kibble. Look for limited ingredient foods and offer real whole food snacks, such as cooked diced chicken or beef.
This is a matter of personal preference. Your kitten is already litter-box trained and should have no problem using a variety different litters. We prefer clumping natural material pellet. Our favorite by far is the pea husk litter made by Catlit available on Amazon.
Our recommendation on shots are in accordance with a holistic veterinary practitioner. If your kitten will be kept indoors, you should try to wait until his/her immune system has had a chance to to develop, or around 4-6 months. At this time, rabies and distempter shots can be given. All aother shots, or shots given prior to this time should be spaced rather than stacked, and limited to what is deemed absolutely necessary.
Certain vaccines, such as FelV, are not only unnecessary but often harmful to Ragdolls and must be avoided.
This is almost always an attempt by your Kitty to express his/her unhappiness with something that has changed in his/her environement. Often, he/she wants something from you such as a food item or meal they no longer have access to or someone/something has invaded what he/she perceives as his/her territory.
Occasionally he/she is trying to tell to tell you he/she is bored, wants your attention or even that he/she is feeling physically unwell. It’s important that you take the time to rule out illness and explore possible causes for their behavior.
Cats are fastidious animals and don’t like to eliminate indiscriminately, so the behavior will stop when you’ve figured out what’s troubling them.
