😸Yes! We work with a reliable and reputable pet nanny service to ensure your kitty is delivered safely and comfortably anywhere you live in the United States. Fees for this service vary by destination. If you can pick the kitten up yourself , you are welcome to do so.
😸First, you will be taking home a kitten with an exceptional degree of health who has been fed only the best foods available and a ton of TLC !
Your kitten has been given a wellness exam by a licensed veterinary practitioner of integrativehealth care. You will take home a health certificate from the veterinarian given at this exam.
The kitten will have been dewormed at this exam. I also offer a one- year health guarantee, as specified in my contract. You will also get a kitty care starter package, including a toy, food, comfort blanket, and a comprehensive handbook on holistic pet health care written by a highly esteemed holistic veterinarian. I provide life-long support for any of your questions or concerns,
and I am available anytime by text or phone, or email.
😸No. In accordance with the guidelines of my holistic veterinarian, I advise waiting until your kitten is between 4 and 6 months of age prior to being given vaccines. He is an indoor kitten coming from a closed family of cats, and his parents have been tested for common genetic illnesses. Further information is provided on the topic of vaccines on the information page and in my contract.
As for neutering/spaying, we also believe it is in the kitten’s best interest to wait
until he is at least 4 months old for this surgery. The only conventional treatment he will have had is a dewormer as specified on his health certificate.
We recommend feeding a quality, high protein diet with no grains or fillers. Dehydrated or frozen raw diets are ideal. Canned food is preferrable to dry kibble. Look for limited ingredient foods and offer real whole food snacks, such as cooked diced chicken or beef.
😸No. It doesn’t have to be. There are many ways to feed your cat a healthy diet.
You can make the food yourself, or buy/order his food from one of the many wonderful holistically-minded pet food companies available online. Many provide delivery services for your convenience.
I provide links to some of them as well as further information on feline nutrition on this website. A natural foods diet simply means a diet that respects a cat’s biological design as a true carnivore, without ingredients that contribute to illness. Feeding a low quality diet is cheaper in the short term, but
will cost more in the long run in regards to veterinary care. Preventing illness is a lot less expensive than sick care is, and easily done with a proper diet.
Your fancy FLOOF is worth the absolute best!
😸Most cats will relish the experience of eating as nature intended and will take to it quickly.
Forthose that do not, you can mix some of the new food into their current diet over the course of several days, gradually taping off the amount of the old food until there is nothing left but superior nutrition.
😸That depends. Every kitten is different in their requirements for quantity , just as humans are.
Let the kitten be the guide. Young adolescents can be ravenous , and they are growing quickly at this age. So start with two meals a day , about the equivalent of a small can.
If he still seems hungry, offer some healthy snacks or feed him a little more. Kittens won’t become overweight, and natural foods will generally not cause excessive weight gain. Because these foods aresatisfying at a cellular level, they don’t lend themselves to overindulgence.
😸Currently, my cattery is pending TICA approval for certification. I expect to have a certification by the middle of 2025.
Your kitten will not have a pedigree or registration paper, but he is coming from parents who ARE TICA certified/purebred Maine Coons and ragdolls. The papers are not necessary unless you plan to show or breed and register new kittens.
😸In addition to food, toys, and cat litter , I recommend the following :
-a pet water fountain, containing a filter to keep the water clean.
-Cat grass, catnip, or other live edible plants for cats to chew on. You can buy the plant, or grow them from seed
-Whole food cat snacks, such as cooked chicken pieces, to use for training , rewards, games and bonding
-Cat furniture , such a scratching post with a lounging pad
-Cat Harness or catio to allow your kitty to get outside in a safe environment. The regular connection to the earth, even for a short period of time once or twice a week, is one of the many natural ways to increase your cat’s well being
